And it’s …. Friday! You know what that means!

Here’s a headline for the ages: mosquitoes, nuclear radiation and drones.

Apparently the idea is to release sterile mosquitoes via drone to reduce the spread of malaria….with radiation providing the sterilization. What will they think of next!

There must be something in the water this week, because the next article that crossed our feed was this one:

Like, seriously, though, have all the headline writers gone mad?

So, let’s see. So far we’ve got nuclear-radiated mosquitoes, soap bubbles and death dropping from the sky. We’re not quite sure about where this is going.

How about catching those radiated mosquitoes flying about on bubbles before the kamikaze drones kill them? We’ve got that covered.

So notes the article: “AI researchers from the Allen Institute of Artificial Intelligence and the University of Washington have trained a drone agent with a box on top to catch a range of 20 objects in a simulated environment”

With all this, we could imagine a Hollywood movie!
